Use wireless networks

This setting is equivalent to the setting Google location services and appeared on earlier versions of Android. It also controlled the ability for apps to use Google location services and for Google to collect information about your location to improve its services.

The change in name from "Use wireless networks" to "Google location services" might be seen as either an attempt for Google to be more open about the fact your location will be communicated with Google when using this feature, or part of a campaign to brand this as a Google-specific feature.
