Location & Google search

The Location & Google search setting controls whether Google services such as Google search are automatically granted the ability to know your current location.

This can help Google search to provide search results relevant to your current location.

Recent Android devices no longer include this setting.

If this setting exists on your device but is switched off, Google apps on your device may prompt you for permission to know your current location.
