Protect USB storage

This setting enables developers to prevent apps from reading the contents of the Android device's internal storage (the storage that is shared over USB when connected to a computer) without first asking permission.

This can be useful when wanting to prevent apps from accessing the device storage for any reason, such as when testing apps.

When this setting is enabled, and an app tries to read from storage, a pop-up permission window will appear asking the user if they wish to proceed.

This setting may be unavailable or disabled on some devices.
